We really enjoyed our stay at EDM. Beautiful pool and nearly private beaches. We're not golfers but I can see why golfers would love this location, too. Condo is beautifully furnished and well-equipped. We're coming back!

Estrella Del Mar has become our go-to destination. This was our 5th trip to EDM and Mazatlan. The remote nature of the resort allows you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Golden Zone - about a 30-minute shuttle provided by the resort to get there. David and Bonnie were wonderful to work with - very responsive as owners. And the property was a relaxing joy to spend our 2 weeks. Highly recommend!

A clean unit with all the necessary essentials!

The condo offered an excellent view of the ocean and pool. The pool was very relaxing and we enjoyed it daily. We also enjoyed our daily walks along the ocean. The people we met were very friendly and very supportive. Plus the condo offered all utilities for a comfortable stay.

Our experience at this condo in Estrella del Mar was lovely!!! The condo was nicely decorated, spacious and clean. It had everything we needed. The kitchen is fully equipped and it has a washer and dryer which let us pack lightly. Dave and Bonni thought of everything prior to our arrival. They sent a welcome packet to us prior to our trip filled with directions and information pertinent to our stay. They also have more information available in the condo such as restaurant recommendations, excursions, etc. The pool was magnificent overlooking the ocean and we also enjoyed long walks on the beach. We rarely saw anyone on our walks...we even got to rescue a few baby turtles! We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and staff. The food was amazing and very inexpensive. It's just a short walk down the beach. Having groceries delivered prior to your stay would be a bonus. We used the shuttle at the hotel to go into Mazatlan for the day and also to get groceries at Walmart. The weather was in the low 80's which was a bonus for us coming in from snow in Seattle! We had a lovely honeymoon---thank you Dave and Bonni for sharing your little piece of paradise with us!

Loved our week at your condo. It was practically deserted so we had the pool to ourselves most days and it is a beautiful pool. We didn't have a car which we will have next time. We got our cab driver to take us to town with a grocery store on our way from the airport. We picked up some staples mainly for breakfast and that was fine. We took our golf clubs and the staff at the golf course were wonderful. They came and picked up our golf clubs and stored them at the golf course for the week. It was a beautiful 10 minute walk down the beach to the golf course which we enjoyed every morning. We golfed 18 holes the first day at 7:00 a.m. but found it too hot after about hole 14 so only played 9 holes after that. The golf course is very well kept, very scenic and quite challenging. We usually had something to eat at the golf course before walking back to the condo and going for a swim. The beach is beautiful and great for walking. Saw all sorts fish, manta rays, dolphins in the water and all the little crabs and birds along the beach. The hotel is the other way down the beach and we went there for dinner. Very nice and reasonably priced. A few times we just picked up a salad and a bottle of wine to go and ate at the condo. A couple we met had a car and picked us up some fresh shrimp and fish from the market. Best shrimp ever and cheap!!! Had enough for 3 meals for about $10.00. Food at the golf course is very good as well. Free chips and salsa with our drinks. They even turned the hockey game on for us. It was actually nice not having a car but need one to get the fresh sea food market. The condo itself is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the balcony and the sunsets are spectacular. Bonni and Dave are very accommodating and easy to deal with. We only had one minor glitch with the hot water but it was very easily fixed with a phone call. Looking forward to our next trip. Thanks Bonni and Dave.

Since 8 years ago we go to Estrella del Mar for vacations with my family and this year with a our good friends, to our friends also loved the place, in the department everything was ok, comfortable and with everything you need to feel at home. Bonni was so nice every time! Thanks Bonni, we hope to stay in your departement next year... I highly recommend.

Ahhhhhhhhh! We just returned home from Estrella Del Mar and are having a hard time not wanting to get on a plane back. Our condo unit looked nice in the pictures but even nicer in person. We didn't lack any convenience. So enjoyed the ocean breeze, and sleeping to the sound of the ocean. Our most restful vacation yet! The hotel and golf course restaurants were very good when we were to lazy to cook. Thank you Bonnie and Dave for sharing such a wonderful vacation spot.

Estrella Del Mar is a stunning resort -beautifully situated on the ocean front with a first class golf course as the centerpiece . For a relaxing or golfing holiday this resort is superb.

Our Condo was extremely comfortable and well appointed. We would be happy to return another year. The owner was most helpful with any queries we had.

We consider EDM very good value .

Bonni and Dave, We loved your place! Your condo was excellent, very clean, everything was like you told us in this web site, the sea, quiet for kids and safety, and we just feel like artists jajaj because the place was just like private beach and pool.

No tengo ninguna duda en regresar pero este año queremos ir a que los niños conozcan Puerto Vallarta, aunque para ser sincera yo preferiría visitar de nuevo estrella del mar, es un paraíso. Muy recomendable para parejas y familias.

My children loved participating in the baby turtle release!!! On New Years Eve we participated in

a great dinner and party with a great vocalist. Would recommend it for a romantic

getaway or a family condo. Will defiantly return!!!

Estrella Del Mar is a well maintained property - very clean and safe. Our 3rd floor accomodations had a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset. We had a thoroughly enjoyable week that included charter fishing, sight-seeing, and zip-lining at Huana Coa. The highlight of our trip was the turtle sanctuary on the property!!! We assisted Olive Ridley hatchlings make it to the water - a once in a lifetime opportunity. This is however not the place for those looking to snorkel, scuba or swim in the ocean - it's pretty chilly in Dec. The owner Bonni, and the on-site manager Olga were both very helpful. Thanks!!!!!

Amazing place, breathtaking scenery and extremely well maintained condo. Picture don't do this place justice. Also, owner was really helpful and courteous.

I have to say that if we didn't choose this place and instead would've chosen a hotel as we planned, our stay wouldn't have been as much enjoyable.

If this is your first time, plan to rent a car and take a GPS with Mexican maps. Otherwise buying groceries or going out for dinner will be a pain.

This is truly a beautiful location. It far exceeded what I was expecting. We stayed in February, and it was beautiful weather, with occasional rains. We drove to Mazatlan a couple of times, but next time, I don't even think I will do that! We ran, lounged by the pool, walked miles on the pristine beach and totally relaxed. If you golf (we don't), this is the place to stay! Beautiful course, and not very crowded.

The only thing I wished Estrella Del Mar had was more dining variety. The Club House did have excellent food, but I didn't like driving to Mazatlan for dinner. We rented a car, but next time we won't. If you want to totally relax and enjoy beautiful surroundings, THIS is the place. The condo is spacious, kitchen lovely, and bedrooms very nice. We will certainly be returning.

We appreciated the luxury, tranquility, and attention to detail of the Canary’s condo. It gets 4 stars. We toasted magnificent sunsets every evening from the deck. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the world class golf course while I loved the brilliantly designed swimming pool. The grounds were secure, spacious, and well-maintained. Estrella Del Mar’s water filtration system makes drinkable tap water – 4 stars for that. The time went too fast. Thank you for such lovely accommodations.

In April of 2008 we enjoyed the ambiance of Mexico in this delightful condo. Sunsets are fabulous (green flare and all!), complimented only by a good mojito and good company. The ocean breeze refreshed the condo and brought with it the soothing ocean sounds. The pool is fabulous, not only for it’s size, but there is no chlorine due to a special filtering system. The yoga and water aerobics provided exercise and a sense of community. The decorating is fun, inviting, functional, and comfortable. Isla Piedres has a great beach with restaurants and water taxi access to Mazatlan – both the historic old town and the Gold Coast. Come to hang out at Estrella del Mar or to explore the quaint small towns around Mazatlan – either way you won’t be disappointed. We have stayed at Estrella del Mar several times before and consider these accommodations to be superb for us.

Renting this condo was our first experience in Mexico. We could not have been happier. First off, our hosts were very helpful and informative. The condo unit was clean, spacious, and state of the art with Wi-Fi and appliances. Morning breakfast on the deck overlooking one of the best pools we had ever been in, and the ocean tide, was delightful. Being there in June the condos were not crowded and we felt like we were there almost by ourselves. Could not have been more relaxing. We ate several meals at the Golf Club restaurant and were very pleased with the food and the service....and watching the sunset while having that margarita/dinner in the Golf Club patio area was unbeatable. Estrella del Mar is just far enough away from Mazatlan so that you can easily drive in whenever you want and yet otherwise feel like you are in a remote setting. Security at Estrella del Mar, and maintenance of the grounds, were topnotch. We will visit again as soon as possible!

Stayed here March 15-31, 2009. Watched the incredible sunset every night while grilling supper on the balcony. The condo is very roomy and well-equipped. The view from the balcony is stunning, especially at sunset.

The beach stretches forever - great for running or walking.

Played golf every day. Golf course is very well cared for, in pristine shape. Almost free. The staff at the golf course are incredible. I would play there again any time.

The staff at Estrella del Mar are all very friendly and accommodating. They all seem genuinely willing to go that extra step. A great place. An awesome vacation!

Estrella del Mar was great. We had a great experience. The room was amazing...we enjoyed breakfast on the balcony over looking the waves and pool. We went during the month of August and it was like we had the whole beach/restaurant (which is great) to ourselves. The room was very clean when we got there. My wife did not want to leave the pool area...she loved it. I loved seeing the turtle place...and just walking the beach early in the mornings when no one else was around. Would recommend this place for everyone.

Your condo is one of the most comfortable and well appointed condo's I've stayed in. I can't think of anything that's missing, so my initial one week vacation became two and then three weeks. I love the sunsets, the beautiful ocean, the endless beach. Having internet access in the condo is a real bonus! I will return, hopefully for several weeks to this magical spot that soothes your soul and makes it all go away. My shell collection just doubled and I will never forget having crossed paths with a mother tortuga heading high on the beach to lay her eggs. It was a real pleasure to interact with you and I cannot thank you enough for everything you did for me!
